How ChatNPU handles information

This policy explains how ChatNPU handles data in the ChatNPU apps and keyboard extension for iOS and Android.

1. Who we are

ChatNPU is provided by RBNSPC LTD.

2. ChatNPU app and keyboard

ChatNPU includes a host app and a custom keyboard extension. The host app is used for setup and preferences. The keyboard extension is used while typing in other apps.

3. On-device rewrite processing

ChatNPU rewrites text entirely on your device. On supported iPhones with iOS 26 or later, rewrites use Apple's on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence). On earlier supported iPhones and iOS versions, rewrites are produced by a local rule-based rewriter. In either case, your typed text and rewritten text never leave your device.

On supported Android phones with a Qualcomm Snapdragon NPU, rewrites use Qualcomm Genie running a Meta Llama 3.2 3B model locally on the device's Hexagon NPU in an isolated app subprocess. Your typed text and rewritten text never leave your device.

On Android, the language-model files required for on-device rewriting are downloaded once on first launch from our private content-delivery infrastructure. This one-time download transfers only the model files; no user data, message content, or device identifiers are sent as part of it.

4. No data collection

The ChatNPU app does not collect, transmit, or store any user data. It contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising identifiers, and no tracking.

The app has no user accounts and makes no network requests to any service during normal use.

5. What the app does not collect or send

  • We do not collect or transmit your typed message content.
  • We do not collect or transmit your rewrite prompts or results.
  • We do not share any data with third-party AI services, analytics providers, or advertisers. The app has no accounts and no network calls.

6. Support communications

If you email support, we receive the information you include in your message (such as your email address and issue details).

7. No third-party services in the app

ChatNPU does not use any third-party AI services (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or similar). All AI rewriting happens on your device.

The app does not include Firebase, Google Analytics, or any other third-party SDK that collects data from you. We do not sell personal information.

8. Retention

Because the app does not collect data, there is no app data to retain. Support email correspondence is retained only as long as needed to address your request.

9. Your choices

You can stop using ChatNPU at any time by removing the keyboard in iOS Settings or Android keyboard settings, and deleting the app. Because the app does not collect data, there is nothing to request deletion of. You may contact us to request deletion of any email support correspondence tied to your email address.

11. Policy updates

We may update this policy over time. The latest version is published on this page with a new effective date.
